I don't know if this counts as a review, but the NYC cupcake DC transplant Crumbs?? SUCKS. I went last night to take a colleague for a birthday cupcake and it was horrible. Their cupcakes were stale, like the consistency of cornbread it had been sitting out so long. I have to say, for $4 a cupcake, I expect it to be fresh. It was ridiculous. I took 2 bites. That's it. And for a fat kid, I think that says a lot.
I'd heard they weren't as good as expected! So sad. Head back to Baked & Wired... delicious and reliably fresh! YUM
